How your information is handled
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. This page explains the little it does collect, and why.
Who is responsible
This website belongs to Sinead O'Sullivan, an independent conference MC and moderator based in London. For anything on this page, write to bookings@sineadosullivan.com.
When you use the enquiry form
The form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your organisation, the date of your event, the type of event and a message. Only the name and email are required.
What you type is saved so the enquiry is not lost if email delivery fails, and a copy is emailed to bookings@sineadosullivan.com. Your IP address is stored alongside it, which is what makes it possible to recognise and block automated spam.
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for arranging or following up an event. Ask at any time and yours will be deleted.
Visitor statistics
Visits are counted without cookies and without storing your IP address. The page you viewed, where you arrived from, your device type and your country are recorded.
Your country is worked out from the timezone your browser reports, not from your IP address or any location lookup.
To count repeat visits within a single day without being able to follow anyone between days, a one-way fingerprint is made from your IP address, your browser and a value that changes daily. Yesterday's fingerprint for the same visitor cannot be recovered.
There is no Google Analytics, no advertising network and no third-party tracking of any kind. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
What is never done
Your details are never sold, rented or passed to anyone for marketing. No newsletter is sent unless you have asked for one.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email bookings@sineadosullivan.com and it will be dealt with within a month.
If you are unhappy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Where the site is hosted
The site and its database are hosted by Hostinger on servers in the EU. Email is delivered through the same hosting.
